What is a Cotton Bale?

The term “cotton bale” or “a bale of cotton” can be defined as a commercial packaging which consists of cotton lint less or more tightly compressed, bound with the ties and layered/covered with proper bagging.

Cotton has been one of the most high-in-demand commercial products since centuries. India, initially, used to import cotton in massive quantities till the 1970s. Over the last few decades, surprisingly, India has witnessed a rapid growth in the production of cotton.

Launch of “Technology Mission on Cotton” by the Indian Government in February 2000.

The Government of India launched various effective cotton production schemes through the consecutive five years. Since then, our country has become self-independent in cotton production fulfilling the requirements of the textile industry.

With the launch of “Technology Mission on Cotton” by the Indian Government in February 2000, significant developments have been achieved in yielding varieties of high-quality cotton, improved farm management, proper transfer to technology, and so on.

The rate of cotton cultivation in India is growing so rapidly that we are being imbibed with the potential to take the present manufacturing level almost near to the global average in the upcoming years.

Due to the high rate of cotton cultivation, the Indian cotton industry saw an accelerated growth graph of the cotton bale press or cotton baler machine industry in India.
